Her birth certificate was typed up yesterday and sent to Ministry of External Affairs for the Apostille stamp. The Embassy has confirmed receipt of the DNA test kit and it is just a matter of getting the original BC back to take with us on our Birth Abroad appointment. Terry from the Christmas Eve Boys told us (we meet him, Steve and their twin boys at Phoenix Hospital the other day for vaccines) that DNA testing is only done on Fridays. I'm waiting to confirm with Nancy at the American Citizens Service if this is still the case.
If we have to wait until next Friday to apply for Aedan's passport, this will add a few days to our trip as the BC should be available on Tuesday. We're ready to go home and be with our friends and family. I can't wait to set up a routine which is hard to do in a little studio with not a lot of amenities. We don't have a baby bed or bath tub, but are making due with extra pillows we bought (makeshift bassinet on the king size bed) and the sink with washcloths.
We've been so blinded by love for our baby girl, that we keep forgetting to take real photos with our nice camera. We just grab our iPhones (lightweight and easy) to take random pics. Here are a few to share which show her preference of sleeping on her side:
How beautiful is she??? Congratulations...YOU DID IT!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're staying in the studio flat at lotus - that's where we were!
ReplyDeleteAaah, how nice our babies had the same first home.
What a gorgeous girl. I'm so happy for you :)

Love, love, LOVE the photo of Aedan sleeping on daddy. And I know what it feels like itching to get home, but take this respite (even if it's longer than planned) before your real lives kick in and you have to shop/cook/clean again...
ReplyDeleteShe is perfect!!! We are so so happy for you.
ReplyDeleteShe is just the most beautiful baby. You must be so in love with her. So very happy for you both.
ReplyDeleteYour dream has finally come true!!
